Christmas Function: 14th December, 2016

The evening saw the band entertain family members and friends with a thirty minute concert of Christmas Carols and Christmas Tunes.

Musical Director Dave Thompson had the pleasure of presenting three Perpetual Trophies, which have been awarded annually since 1993. The recipients were:

Teeena Wallace- Solo Cornet and Assistant Musical Director: Elwyn Hunt Bandsmanship Trophy

Ken Duck- 2nd Baritone: Alan Meldrum Most Improved Trophy.

Jack Leckie- 2nd Cornet: Jim Adams Encouragement Trophy

Allan Shaw, President, presented a number Band Association of NSW Service Badges.

The ten year service badges are specific to ten years of continuous membership of CNL Brass. Badges also recognise cumulative service with CNL Brass and other bands.

The ten year service badge recipients were;

Joanne McDougall- Soprano Cornet, Jack Leckie-2nd Cornet, Romeo Donolato-2nd Tenor Horn, Dave Curry- EEb Bass

A fifteen year service badge was also presented to Romeo. Joanne received a twenty year service badge. Dave was presented with a thirty year service badge

Phil Mitchell, who had previously received ten year and fifteen year service badges, was presented with a twenty year service badge. His service has been continuous with CNL Brass.

Supper followed to conclude an evening of merriment and goodwill.
